Character

Believed to be the first player born and raised in El Salvador to play DI baseball on a scholarship, Colato has been an inspirational story to many. He continues to be a leader for the Antelopes as well.

Colato suffered an injury that forced him to miss time last summer so he went on and earned his real estate license.

Community

In just this fall semester, Colato has completed 14 hours of service time in the community. He has volunteered with the St. Mary’s Food Bank and the Miracle League of Arizona.

Competition

Colato ranked sixth nationally, and led the conference, with 29 hits during the pandemic-shortened season. He hit .367 on the campaign.

Last season, Colato earned an All-WAC honorable mention nod after hitting .278 and helping the Antelopes win both the WAC regular season and tournament title.
