He has been named to the UCLA Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in five semesters.
Character
Bernard has been an integral member of UCLA since arriving four years ago.
He is an extremely hard worker, a complete team player, and always has the right attitude. Bernard is a very strong representative of the program and is terrific with media opportunities.
Community
Bernard’s father hails from Trinidad and Tobago, so he is very passionate about helping family members who live there. He hopes to one day give back to the people.
Competition
Bernard enters his senior year leading all active players in career games played (95). He played in 33 as a freshman, 30 as a sophomore, and 32 last season as a junior.
Bernard was one of five players on UCLA to have averaged double-figure scoring last season, as he scored in double figures in 16 games to help that mark.
For his career, Bernard holds career averages of 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
