Character

Greene has been a model citizen and is the type of player that always takes responsibility for his actions on the court. If he happens to have a sub-par game and the team loses he goes straight to the coaches and takes the blame. He averaged only 2.2 ppg and 1.8 rpg as a freshmen, but through his dedication to the game and with the help of his teammates he became one of the nation’s most improved players as a sophomore and emerged into the MAC Player of the Year as a junior.  He is often called upon to be spokesperson for the team.

Community

Greene has taken part and led community outreach projects for the team. This fall he spent time with the team at the Kent Social Services Soup Kitchen, volunteered at a local elementary school by reading and interacting with the children and assisted in the Kent State “Movers & Grovers” program by helping incoming freshmen move into and get acquainted to the dorms.

Competition

After a stellar junior season, Greene was honored as the MAC Player of the Year, as well as earning first-team All-MAC distinction. He also received Associated Press honorable-mention honors and was named a Mid-Major All-American by Collegeinsider.com and a second-team Mid-Major All-American by CollegeHoops.net.
