Character

From Head Coach Glenn Moore: “Kaitlyn is a role model for kids and young athletes—one that you would want them to aspire to be. Her morals and values are top notch. She’s gone on mission trips and is always willing to speak and do community service, and speak to youth groups and classrooms. You’d never see her do anything that wasn’t sportsmanlike. She’s got incredible competitiveness, but does it between the lines. She represents Baylor in a great way and is a great ambassador for the school. Every aspect of her life is top-notch. She doesn’t slack off in any aspect. She’s a true friend to her teammates, and she’s very serious about both athletics and academics.”

In the fall of 2014, Thumann became the first student-athlete ever to be selected as Homecoming Queen at Baylor University. BU’s Homecoming queens are judged on scholarship, philanthropy, spiritual commitment and poise.
