Leading the Hurricanes to the quarterfinals, McGusty was named to the ACC All-Tournament second team last season after averaging 17.7 points per game in the event.

He also received accolades during his tenure as a Sooner. McGusty was named a 2016-17 All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and also earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.
