Forrest is a 2006 NSCAA Scholar All-American (2nd team) and a member of the 2006 NSCAA Scholar All-Region first team, the 2006 Pac-10 All-Academic first team, the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Team and the 2004 Pac-10 All-Academic first team. He will graduate from Washington in Jan. 2008. He has completed his credits for a degree from the university’s business school with an emphasis in marketing and is finishing up general credits this fall. He has a 3.45 cumulative grade point average and is interested in a career in real estate, business or marketing.

Character

Forrest is a two-year team captain. He had opportunities to leave school early for a professional career in MLS but chose to remain in school. He serves as part of the team’s leadership group. He has overcome injuries—in 2005 he sat out the entire season with a foot injury and came back in 2006 to earn Pac-10 Player of the Year honors and finish the season as one of the top forwards in the nation.

Community

Forrest joined his teammates on visits to Children’s Hospital in Seattle. He volunteered at University Presbyterian Church, working with childcare during church services and helping to raise money for students to attend mission trips.

Competition

He is on the 2007 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and was named a 2007 Preseason All-American by Soccer America and College Soccer News. He was named Pac-10 Player of the Week and Soccer America and Top Drawer Soccer national teams of the week after opening weekend of the season. He was named 2006 Pac-10 Player of the Year and 2006 NSCAA/adidas All-Far West Region First Team. He is a two-time First-Team All-Pac-10 (2006, 2004). In 2006, he ranked eighth in the nation in goals per game (0.84) and 14th in the nation in points per game (1.74).
