Classroom
Urso is a five-time Dean’s List member, a three-time Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team member and the 2010 ACC Men’s Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Character
Urso is a member of the ACC SAAC in 2009 and 2010. He attended the NCAA Leadership Development Conference in the summer of 2009 in Orlando, Fla. He is a member of National Society of Leadership, the Carolina Outreach Representative for 2009/2010 and a member of the Veteran Leaders Program in the Carolina Leadership Academy for 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.
Community
Urso has been the team representative for Carolina Outreach for two years (includes visits with fellow student-athletes to local elementary schools and interacting with the children, speaking to visiting school children on campus about life as a student-athlete here at UNC, volunteering at the inaugural “I Believe in Love 5k”).
Competition
Urso was a Soccer America Freshman All-America selection. He earned a spot on the Deacon Fall Classic All-Tournament Team and was named to the ACC-All tournament team in Fall 2010. During his tenure at North Carolina, he has helped his team to three College Cup appearances.
