Classroom

Nicoletti, who is interested in a career in fashion merchandising and buying or event planning, carries a 3.63 GPA in business administration. She is a four-time Dean’s List student and a five-time selection to the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner’s honor roll. As a junior, she was named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete and earned spots on the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District first team and the A-10 All-Academic team.

Character

Nicoletti consistently displays leadership as a highly effective leadoff hitter and as a supportive teammate and friend. She is known for her ability to create enthusiasm and positive energy among her teammates before and during games. Nicoletti overcame a hamstring injury suffered in 2009 to have an All-Conference and All-Region season in 2010, and she has shown a remarkable ability to manage the stress and fatigue brought about when final exams and the conference tournament coincide. She has gained the respect of individuals in her classes who are not student-athletes by continuing to work diligently with them on multiple class projects even while the season is in progress. Nicoletti provided another example of her leadership and character last summer, voluntarily training three times a week with SLU’s strength and conditioning coaches in preparation for her senior season.

Community

Nicoletti has volunteered in several ways. She has worked with the Special Needs Soccer Association and the Boys & Girls Club, and she has participated in the Build-A-Bear Playground Project and SLU’s Make-A-Difference Day. Nicoletti also has mentored youth softball players in numerous SLU softball camps throughout her career.

Competition

This season Nicoletti became Saint Louis’ career hits leader with a single against UC Riverside March 11. As a junior, Nicoletti was named to the All-A-10 first team and became the first player in SLU history to earn NFCA All-Region honors (second team). She ranked ninth in the nation in stolen bases per game, swiping 40 to eclipse her own school-record mark and tie the A-10 standard. Nicoletti is the school’s career record-holder in stolen bases (111) and runs (112) and finished the season in SLU’s career top 10 in four other categories. She finished fourth in the A-10 in batting average and hits and set Saint Louis junior-class records in six categories. As a sophomore, Kristin was a second-team all-conference performer who ranked 13th nationally in stolen bases per game and scored a school-record 42 runs.
