Kristina Hull

Classroom

Has a 3.45 Cumulative GPA with a major in science, technology, and culture. She is expected to graduate in May 2007. She was awarded the ACC Postgraduate Scholarship earlier this year for her outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments. 2006 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Softball Team, Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll for 2003-04, 2005-06, Georgia Tech All-Academic Team (top scholar-athlete on each squad), 2004-05, 2005-06 and is a six-time Dean’s List student.

Character

Kristina is one of the team leaders and is president of Student-Athlete Advisory Board. She organizes team functions and is hard working in the classroom, weight room and on the field. She always has a positive attitude and demonstrates a tremendous work ethic to the team. Kristina always places the team’s needs way before her own. She is off to her best season ever at Georgia Tech, continuing to be one of the top hitters each game. She is willing to play any position, even though she came in here as a first baseman.

Community

2006 Atlantic Coast Conference Top Six for Service Award. Has assisted for four years in the Annual Georgia Tech Michael Isenhour Toy Drive. This year the drive has raised ~$5,000 and 1,500 toys. Hull has helped organize this toy drive three out of the four years she has been involved. They collected toys at a football game, a men’s basketball game, and a women’s basketball game this year. Helped organize and collect money for the Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund. They raised $25,000 before a football game in collections. Helped with the organization of the Softball team donating items to be packaged and sent to soldiers for Christmas. Assisted in the packaging and donation of Christmas toys for Operation Christmas Child, which sends the toys to underprivileged children in other countries. Hull helped with the running of the bowling segment of the Special Olympics Georgia State Winter Games.

Competition

Hull, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., is having her finest season as a Yellow Jacket. She has set career-highs in home runs (9), doubles (5) and triples (1). She has also set a new career high with 25 runs batted in and has four stolen bases in four attempts.
