Kyle Davidson is a 2018 NFCA Scholar-Athlete, a member of the 2018 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team and was named to the 2017-18 A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She has been named to the Dayton Dean’s List five times and the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll a total of four times during her tenure at UD. Davidson was also named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete following her freshman season.

Character

Davidson was accepted into UD special-interest housing for hosting and leading weekly meetings for Athletes in Action, a Christian sports ministry and outreach group, as she is a member of the executive board for the campus Athletes in Action group. Last season, Davidson assisted her family during her mother’s battle with breast cancer by commuting back and forth to campus (Columbus to Dayton) to attend her mother’s treatment, supervise a younger sibling and organize a weekly neighborhood prayer gathering. She completed additional DiSC training with the team’s Leadership Council and leads the team in implementing successful mental skills strategies for practice and games. Davidson also organizes and submits bi-weekly nutrition orders for the team’s NCAA supplemental nutrition program.

Community

Davidson has participated in numerous community service initiatives including organizing a Christmas toy drive last winter with For the Love Of Children (FLOC), volunteered at an anti-bullying rally in 2018, worked on a Habitat for Humanity project in 2017, has volunteered for UD’s National Girls and Women in Sports Day free clinic and also serves with her team every December during Christmas on Campus, a program UD sponsors for underprivileged kids in the Dayton area.

Competition

Davidson was named to the 2018 NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team, the 2018 A-10 All-Conference First Team and to the 2018 A-10 All-Championship Team. Last season, she started in all 56 games for the Flyers and led the team in batting average (.351), hits (61), doubles (19) and stolen bases (17). Davidson was also recognized by the A-10 in 2017 on the All-Conference First Team and in 2016 on the All-Rookie Team. Her 32 career doubles ranks fourth, and her career .316 batting average ranks eighth in the Dayton record book.
