Sanders carries a 3.60 cumulative GPA through the fall of 2020. In 2019, she was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team and was a Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll member.

In 2018, she was a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.

Character

Sanders has grown into a role model who is open and honest about the body image struggles that she has gone through as a collegiate athlete. She posts links to her blog on her public Instagram profile (lologetsreal.blog), where she has written about issues with her thinning hair and negative thoughts around women’s bodies and health. Her social media posts also frequently involve information related to women’s health and reproductive issues.

Community

Sanders traveled to Peru during the summer of 2018 with a group of UW student-athletes to build sport courts and give skill clinics in a remote village.

Competition

Sanders has been named an All-Pac-12 Team honorable mention each of her first three seasons. She already ranks in the top-10 in career blocks at Washington and is on pace to be just the fourth player to reach 500 blocks.

A three-year starter, Sanders has helped Washington go one round farther in the tournament each season. From a second round birth as a freshman, to regional semifinals as a sophomore, and then regional finals in 2019 when Washington finished 6th in the final AVCA poll.

Sanders twice been chosen to compete for the U.S. Collegiate National Team. She enters her senior season with 582 kills, 411 career blocks, and a a .307 career attack percentage.
