Classroom
Laurie was a First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2013. He carries a 3.76 GPA in the classroom and has been a two-year member of the Capital One Academic All-District First-Team and Horizon Academic All-League squads.
Character
Laurie is a class act on and off the field. He will be the team captain for the second year in a row in 2014 and carries a high level of sportsmanship with him at all times.
Community
Laurie did a lot of work with kid’s camps this past summer when he was in California. Both with the Ventura County Fusion club camps and in the Ventura schools. He also helped with fall Move-In: Student-athletes from our department help freshman with move-in day here on campus. Our men’s soccer team did some pre and postgame camps for local kids during the season. He participated in Rock the Halls: was a campus community effort to get other students informed on athletics here at UWM.
Competition
Laurie was in the top-15 in the NCAA in points and goals as a junior in 2013. He was a First-Team All-American and the Horizon League Player of the Year.
