Throughout her academic career, Murphy has earned numerous accolades.
She has received Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times, Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll three times, Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll three times, and Horizon League All-Academic Team honors once.
Character
Murphy is the main leader on the team, coming back for her final season after the COVID-19 shortened campaign.
She came to the Titans when they were a frequent at the bottom of the standings and has since helped them to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
Community
Murphy, a member of the Detroit Mercy Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, has taken part of numerous school community service projects.
Competition
During her career so far at Detroit Mercy, Murphy has earned Horizon League All-Freshman Team, All-Horizon League first team, and been named the Horizon League Championship Most Outstanding Player.
In 2019, she helped the Titans upset top-seeded UIC by tossing two shutouts through 14 innings in the league championship. She had a .62 ERA and a 3-0 record throughout the entire tournament, en route to earning the MVP. Murphy also threw a no-hitter against NKU during the 2019 season.
Murphy is the school leader with nine saves, ranks second with 331 strikeouts, and is tied for sixth with 30 wins.
