Classroom

Logan Brown is a model student in his studies. He is a two-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, a 2013 CoSIDA Academic All-District VII first-team selection and a five-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Character

Brown has consistently been one of the team leaders at Baylor, whether through leading by example or calling team meetings to get the team back on track. He is a very composed, smart individual who knows what it takes to be successful on and off the field and how to help others do the same. His teammates look up to him and his overall persona as a student-athlete at Baylor.

Community

Brown is very involved with the community. He makes yearly visits to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston, works with Feed My Starving Children, visits elementary schools in Waco and even helped with Goodwill’s recovery efforts for Moore, Okla., two years ago.

Competition

Brown’s competitive drive is one of the reasons he has been an impact player all four years at Baylor. He ranks ninth all-time at Baylor in fielding percentage and, in 2014, earned the program’s first-ever Rawlings/ABCA DI Gold Glove for the nation’s top defender in his position. He’s a career .259 hitter with 70 runs, 111 hits, 16 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 39 RBI and 35 steals. His senior season is off to a promising start as he is hitting .359 in 11 games with nine runs, 14 hits, three doubles, one triple, eight RBI and four steals. So far in 2015, he leads Baylor in on-base percentage, runs, hits, RBI, triples, walks and steals.
