Classroom
Louis was a 14th round draft choice of the Washington Nationals last summer, but elected to return to LSU for his senior season as an agricultural business major.
Character
Louis is in his fourth year in the LSU program and has established himself as one of the leaders of the team both on the field and in the community.
Community
Louis is involved in several community service projects including the events to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and Lou Gehrig’s disease. He is also a frequent visitor to local schools and hospitals.
Competition
Louis is a 2009 preseason All-American. He has been the Tigers’ top relief pitcher for the past two seasons. He helped lead LSU to the College World Series in 2008, posting an 8-1 record with a 1.95 ERA.
