Mekenzie Saban

Classroom

Saban received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Francis in 2020. She graduated with summa cum laude honors after maintaining a 3.99 GPA. Saban was also named to the President’s List every semester.

She will graduate with her MBA after this spring semester and currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Character

Saban cares greatly about the success of her teammates and program. She is extremely hardworking and is always trying to improve—something that speaks to her determination.

Community

Saban has volunteered with multiple organizations, including the Cambria County Care Center, Cambria County Humane Society, Dorothy Day Center, Holidaysburg Veterans Home, and Vale Wood Rams.

During COVID, Saban and her teammates were pen pals with local elementary school students and participated in virtual reading for Read Across America Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Competition

Saban had an impressive season last year that saw her earn first team all-conference honors. She set single-season program records for BA (.452) and OBP (.508), and finished second in hits (76) and doubles (20) to her own marks as a sophomore.

Saban also placed well against her peers throughout the country, finishing ninth in the NCAA in hits and 12th in batting average.
