Classroom

Michele Daubman is a 4.0 student, and is one of—if not the only—Fordham student-athlete to ever hold a perfect GPA through seven semesters. She has made the Dean’s List three straight years and has been an advising assistant volunteer advising and mentoring a group of freshmen in their academic transition to college. Daubman also is a three-time member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In 2014, she was named Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District and Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference. In 2013, she was named Capital One/CoSIDA Academic-All Region and Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference.

Character

Daubman, the team captain, is the hardest-working person Head Coach Bridget Orchard knows. She is willing to help others and any cost, and, according to administration, her community service and academic profile is one of the best ever seen at Fordham.

Community

Daubman is president of the SAAC at Fordham. She and the team also work with the organization TEAM IMPACT and have adopted a young girl named Gloria with a heart disease and made her a member of the softball family.

Competition

Daubman led Fordham to back-to-back A10 titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. As a junior, she was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Pitcher of the Year, Atlantic 10 Championship Most Outstanding Player, Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference, Second Team NFCA All-Region and four-time Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week. As a sophomore, she was named First-Team NFCA All-Region and a three-time Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week.
