Mike Vigliarolo is on pace to graduate in four years with his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has been named to the Dean’s List in both of the past two semesters.
Character
As one of the leaders of the team, Vigliarolo was voted team captain for this season. He is a member of the Saint Louis Student-Athlete Advisory Council and displays leadership on team via organizing team activities and/or staying late for drills with teammates.
Community
Vigliarolo is heavily involved in the St. Louis-based organization Special Needs Soccer Association (SPENSA), which is designed to bring the excitement and fun of playing soccer to players who traditionally have not had a place in the youth soccer system. In previous years, Vigliarolo has also volunteered with Team IMPACT.
Competition
Vigliarolo currently ranks in the top 5 of all NCAA Division I active players for career doubles and total bases. In 2014, he was named first-team All-Conference at first base after hitting .328 with a team-leading .496 slugging percentage and a .368 on-base percentage. During his sophomore campaign, Vigliarolo became the first-ever Billiken baseball player to be named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. That season, he hit .341 with a .525 slugging percentage and a .374 on-base percentage while leading the Billikens with 87 hits—the second-highest single season total in SLU history—and hitting 19 doubles, also the second-highest single season total in the Billiken record books.
The 2013 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Vigliarolo is currently on pace to break several school records at Saint Louis. One of Saint Louis’ top hitters, on pace to break several school records.
