Stines excels as a true student-athlete. She carries a 3.87 GPA as a nursing major, successfully navigating her clinicals with team practices and training.

In 2020, she was named a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. Stines has also been named to the Horizon League Honor Roll each eligible semester.

Character

Stines is a two-time team captain for the Norse. She is highly regarded amongst her teammates and the entire soccer program for her character.

She’s a fierce competitor on the pitch but plays the game cleanly. Stines has never been booked with a card during her career.

Her character is on full display through her resolve to succeed in both the classroom and in competition, while also spending countless hours serving the community.

Community

Stines has been incredibly involved with the community while at Northern Kentucky. Along with her teammates, she has spent time with a local youth that was diagnosed with Asperger’s.

In her time on campus, Stines has volunteered with the: American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Walk and Fun Run, Miami Valley Down Syndrome Associate Dayton Buddy Walk, Ronald McDonald House, and COVID-19 vaccination clinics. She has also volunteered with the Miracle of Life Support Group, who offers assistance to needy mothers and their babies.

Stines has assisted her high school alma mater during their soccer practices during her spare time, providing the goalies with training sessions.

The Norse have also passed out candy on Halloween at BB&T Arena.

In an attempt to assist local families, Stines volunteered to babysit for free, as well.

Competition

Stines has been sensation on the pitch - and has the accolades to show for it. Instrumental in leading Northern Kentucky to its first-ever Horizon League regular-season championship, she received plenty of conference acclaim.

Following the season in 2020, Stines was named the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year and the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year. She was also selected the the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team and the All-Horizon League first team. Stines finished that season ranked third in the country in both goals against average (0.264) and save percentage (0.929). Her seven shutouts on the season were 14th-most in the nation.

She also closed the season on an 820:47-minute shutout streak, which she ran to 830:29-minutes to start the season in 2021.
