Community

Ferraresi is a major participant in Level the Field, Inc. program, a non-profit organization started by a former women’s soccer player at Columbia. These women created the program to use sports as a vehicle to cultivate social skills and develop a work ethic in students that will prepare them for future academic, personal and professional success and empower them to become leaders and productive members in their communities.

Competition

Ferraresi, a three-year starter in the outfield who hails from Wellington, Fla., capped a strong 2012 season with his first All-Ivy League honor. Ferraresi was consistent all season, hitting .310 with four home runs and 32 runs batted in. Batting mainly in the cleanup spot in the lineup, Ferraresi drove in 17 runs during 20 Ivy League games. He cranked out 15 doubles and collected six outfield assists from right field. Ferraresi delivered in a number of clutch situations last season, including slamming three hits (two doubles) and scoring three times in a 9-6 win at St. John’s. In the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, Ferraresi cranked five home runs and drove in 23 in 25 games. He totaled seven doubles and scored 16 runs for the Staten Island Tide.
