Character
Patric is very involved in campus activities, supporting all teams including women’s athletics (volleyball, soccer, etc.) He is a friendly, smiling face that anyone can see and interact with around campus at any given time of the day. He was a solid and consistent leader at workouts this summer. Strength and Conditioning coach Preston Greene said he didn’t have one bad day – he was always focused and brought maximum effort every day. Patric is also extremely involved with church and bible study.
Community
He volunteers with Goodwill Gators (a campus program) on a regular basis. Patric visits children at UF Health, the local campus hospital, including children who are in the intensive care unit, cancer area, etc. He also visits UF Health on his own (not just with Goodwill Gators) and also goes with teammate Will Yuegete each week. Patric also enjoys speaking to children at local elementary schools about doing the right thing, staying fit and being involved in athletics and other activites. He was awarded the 2014 Brad Davis Community Service Postgraduate Scholarship, voted on by the SEC’s faculty reps.
Competition
Patric was voted second team All-SEC 2013. He is one of nation’s elite post defenders and one of most physical players in the SEC. He competed for USA in the 2011 U19 FIBA World Championships and was selected as All-SEC Freshman in 2010.
