She has also served as a peer-tutor in the Kelley School of Business.

Blitz sits on the Athletic Director’s Council on Diversity and Inclusivity, where she was nominated to work directly with AD Fred Glass to discuss and address issues related to diversity within the athletic department.

She has also served as a head coach for Spartans Softball, a travelball team in Stony Brook, Alabama.

Already one of the most decorated players in history, she was named second-team All-Big Ten in 2016 and 2017 and was an NFCA second-team All-Midwest Region selection in 2016 and 2015. A threat on the base paths, her 60 career stolen bases ranks fifth all-time at Indiana. At the plate, her .343 career average is also fifth all-time at IU. As of nomination time, she has 176 career hits with 104 runs. The lefty has played every game in the last three seasons (164) with 162 starts in centerfield where she has a .978 career fielding percentage.
