Robert Baldwin is a Political Science major with a cumulative GPA of 3.7. At the end of this academic year, he will earn a BA in Political Science with an Environmental Policy concentration. During the summer of 2013, he studied at the London School of Economics, while also being the recipient of several academic scholarships at Yale. After graduation, Baldwin plans to attend law school and pursue a career in environmental law.

Character

Baldwin is the treasurer of the Ducks Unlimited Yale University chapter, which is a wetlands conservation group, and in his role he aided with the planning and promoting of the 2012 Wildlife Protection Fundraiser. Baldwin also served as an intern for Senator Ted Cruz of Texas in the summer of 2013, working in the U.S. Senate to research and assemble constituent service data. He also has worked in the Yale Athletics Department, helping to serve as a referee assistant for volleyball, soccer, basketball and field hockey games. Baldwin works hard at everything he does, staying active in many groups at Yale while being a starting player on the baseball team.

Community

Along with his work with Ducks Unlimited, Baldwin is an athletic representative on the Bulldogs Sustainability Committee, helping to develop, implement and evaluate procedures for generating a more sustainable athletics program. He also works with the Cape Cod League’s Chatham Anglers by helping to instruct students in the team’s summer weekly community baseball camp.

Competition

During his junior season, Baldwin hit .304, which was 11th-best in the Ivy League. He was named Honorable Mention All-Ivy and held team highs in home runs (3), RBI (22), total bases (57) and doubles (10). For his efforts, he was awarded the George H.
