Character

“Wise’s leadership on and off the field is remarkable. Her self-disciplined work ethic transfers to our team as they look to emulate her dedicated effort to our program. With her humility in achieving numerous awards, Wise inspires others to dream big. She has brought national recognition to our program, and her integrity and sense of responsibility for doing things right truly defines her character. Wise is a reliable and dependable team player, dedicated to leaving our program better than she found it. She set the bar high by shattering numerous SLU softball records and continues to lead and encourage others to keep pushing their limits.

Off the field, Wise does a remarkable job of balancing a full academic load with a competitive softball schedule. She is currently working in occupational therapy field work at Parkway West Early Childhood Center. Her willingness to help others and her care for the community showcase her respectful character, especially when her time is so stretched. Wise was also a 2019 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar, awarded to honor diverse undergraduate students for demonstrating a commitment to community service, student leadership and community activism. She exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding student-athlete and has made her presence known throughout the softball nation. She has been an incredible ambassador for Saint Louis University, and she will leave a legacy of committed excellence upon her graduation. Sadie Wise has elevated our program to new heights.”
