Samedy, who is in pursuit of her bachelor’s degree in psychology, will graduate in the spring. She has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors during her career.

Community

Samedy, along with the Minnesota volleyball team, has volunteered in conjunction with Team Impact. They have adopted Cora as their team member.

She has also volunteered with the HopeKids Organization.

Competition

During her time at Minnesota, Samedy has been named a three-time All-American, three-Time All-Big Ten, and three-time preseason All-Big Ten selection. She has played in 96 career matches and 336 sets for the Golden Gophers.

In 2019, Samedy played in 115 sets as a junior, leading the Gophers in kills (353), kills per set (3.07), and attempts (1002). She averaged 0.93 blocks per set and also contributed 23 aces and 299 digs.

In 2018, she led the team with 359 kills and averaged 3.49 kills per set in 921 attempts. She ranked second on the team in digs and third in blocks per set at 0.82 as a sophomore.

Samedy is the first-ever Gopher to receive All-America honors as a freshman in 2017, also earning an All-Big Ten selection.
