Classroom

Rehfuss is currently seeking his third degree at Syracuse and was admitted into Albany Law. He deferred admission until the Fall of 2021, taking advantage of the opportunity to return to Syracuse this season.

He completed his undergraduate degree in communication and rhetorical studies and earned his first graduate degree in information technology management.

During his academic career, he has earned two All-ACC Academic Team selections and three ACC Honor Roll selections. Rehfuss was presented with the 2020 Doris Soladay Award, which is the highest-honor a Syracuse student-athlete can receive.

Character

Prior to the 2021 season, Rehfuss was elected as a team captain due to his leadership. He arrived at Syracuse as an un-recruited transfer from Holy Cross as a freshman, but earned a spot on the field right away. Even though the team was veteran-laden, he made his presence known.

He has played in every game of his Syracuse career.

Community

Rehfuss, along with the Syracuse team, is involved in Team Impact. They ‘adopt’ a teammate with cystic fibrosis, making him an honorary teammate. They have gone to his treatments, participated in a cystic fibrosis walk, and taken him out for special events to make him feel like part of the team.

Syracuse is also a part of the Headstrong Foundation’s annual LaxStache Madness, which raises money for the HEADstrong foundation. The foundation offers financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer.

Competition

Rehfuss, a two-time ACC Offensive Player of the Week, earned Inside Lacrosse All-American honors in 2020. During the season, he led the ACC in assists, ranking third nationally with 3.6 assists per game.

He is also a two-time USILA National Team of the Week selection.

Rehfuss is 18th all-time in career assists at Syracuse (80), just seven away from breaking into the top-10 heading into the 2021 season. He owns two of the top-20 single-game assist totals in program history.
