Classroom
Tekesky graduated last spring, earning a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He is a two-time All-MAC Academic Team selection and has been named to both the Dean’s List and Honor Roll multiple times.
He is currently pursing a master’s degree in sport management.
Character
Tekesky, who committed to a fifth season of eligibility, is a two-time team captain at West Virginia. He is the unquestioned leader of the Mountaineer back line
Community
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, Tekesky has been active at WVU Soccer youth camps throughout his collegiate career. He also has made trips to WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital and the local nursing home with other teammates.
Competition
Tekesky will go down as one of the most successful goalkeepers in program history. He already ranks in the team’s all-time top five in six different categories and has a chance to become the squad’s winningest player ever.
He is a two-time All-MAC first team selection and was the MAC Tournament MVP in 2019. Tekesky has helped WVU reach two NCAA Tournaments, in 2018 and 2019.
With 65 career starts as of Sept. 16, 2021, Tekesky is one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the country.
