Character

Bednarsky enters the season as the fourth three-time team captain in program history. Since arriving at Lehigh, Bednarsky has been involved with Lehigh’s Flight 45 program and Lehigh Athletics’ Leadership Academy. They educate sophomore and junior student-athletes regarding how to lead by example, develop relationships with teammates, and gain the credibility to lead their team vocally while actively supporting the efforts of current team captains.

Bednarsky, who was a member of Lehigh’s Leadership Council, has displayed strong character through his dedication to his craft. He shows leadership through his actions on and off the field, as evidenced by the team’s success.

Community

Bednarsky has been part of many efforts in the community at Lehigh. Each year, Lehigh Athletics takes part in Adopt-A-Family. The Mountain Hawks provide a holiday for an underprivileged family, with the event raising up to $30,000.

He has been a consistent helper with the program’s camps and clinics, often taking time out of his summer schedule to assist the coaching staff and clinicians. Bednarsky also helps during the season, when the program hosts clinics prior to and following weekend games.

Bednarsky has also gained extensive experience coaching a local youth club team, Lehigh Valley United, through which he hopes he can pursue his dream and begin his soccer coaching career following graduation.

Competition

Bednarsky is a three-time All-Patriot League selection, earning first team honors twice. He has an opportunity to become just the fifth Lehigh Player, and 14th player in Patriot League history, to earn four all-conference awards.
