Hinrichs has done well in the classroom at Providence College, earning a 3.6 cumulative GPA. He is a finance major and accepted a full-time position with Gallagher starting this summer after graduation. His driven personality got him an internship with the company for the past two summers. He had great success at his internship, earning this full-time job offer. In terms of academic accolades, Hinrichs was honored with an induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society this past year.

Character

Hinrichs has always been a strong leader for his teammates. He focuses on inspiring others and creating genuine bonds with those around him. Tim exemplifies all the qualities that you would want in a teammate and he makes an effort to spend time with people who share the same qualities and values as him. He has gained the respect from his peers and coaches and was honored by being named captain for the 2020 season. As a captain, Hinrichs takes full responsibility for his team and takes his roll very seriously. His self-less attitude and doing what’s best for the team shows his strengths are seen on and off the field. After these past three years at Providence, Hinrichs has been tested with challenging obstacles that never stopped him from his end goals. Athletic and academic success are momentary and can be quickly forgotten. Tim’s character will always be prevalent and what he will be remembered for as Providence College.

Community

Hinrichs had the opportunity to spend time at the Hasbro Children’s Hospital while living in Providence. He enjoyed his experiences working there with children and being able to make their day a little brighter. Hinrichs described his opportunity here at Providence College to be a blessing. Any chance he had to give back to those who are not as fortunate is extremely important and worth-while to him. Being in the position that he is at Providence College, his life is filled with such great fortune and opportunity, so being able to spend time with people who were not given those same chances is incredibly important and humbling to Hinrichs. When Hinrichs is back home, he enjoys working with young lacrosse players in his community. His work includes helping to run clinics, while teaching and demonstrating his own skills he has mastered over the years. Seeing the growth of young individuals into high level players has been rewarding for him.

Competition

Hinrichs has been successful in his last three years playing at Providence. In 2019, he noted 29 points on 13 goals and 16 assists. He tallied 46 shots, picked up 21 ground balls, and caused four turnovers. He tied second on the team in assists and was fourth in points. He recorded six points against Sacred Heart with one goal and a career high five points. He was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team at the end of the season. He has tallied 47 points overall on 24 goals and 23 assists. Going into the 2020 season, Hinrichs was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
