Classroom

Todd Heritage is a Dean’s List student with a 3.48 cumulative GPA in environmental studies, with dual minors in political science and religion. In 2013 he was named to the 11-man Patriot League All-Academic Team, and he is also a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. This past summer, he was selected to be a sales and marketing intern at ESPN, where he worked with the marketing team promoting the College GameDay show and the network’s college football programming.

Character

Todd is a 2014 team captain and one of the leaders of the Bucknell men’s lacrosse program. He is held in such high regard that he was one of the Bucknell students selected to be an Alumni Liaison at a major fundraising event in New York City as part of the university’s ongoing $500 million capital campaign. Todd was also selected to be the lacrosse team’s Senior Fundraising Chair, where he interacts with alumni and supporters of the Bucknell program.

Community

In addition to his fundraising experience, Todd is involved with several volunteer groups. He is a member of Bucknell Buddies, where does 1-on-1 tutoring in the Lewisburg school district. He also works with Learning Connections, LLC to provide academic tutoring. Todd is a member of Bucknell Student Voices, which advocates social responsibility and coordinates non-alcoholic programming for students. He is a member of that organization’s Committee of Athletes, and he was a coordinator of the “Bison Idol” talent show. Todd has also been involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and he is a member of the National Leadership Academy for his fraternity (FIJI). In his hometown of Cheshire, Conn., Todd spent three summers as the volunteer head coach of Lacrosse Extreme and Bobcat Lacrosse, a youth lacrosse club.

Competition

On the field, Todd is entering his fourth season as a starting attackman for the nationally ranked Bison, and he is one of the top-returning goal-scorers in the country in 2014. He enters the 2014 campaign with 96 goals and 116 points in his career. He already ranks seventh on Bucknell’s career goals list, and he enters his senior year needing four goals to become the fifth member of Bucknell’s 100-goal club and 42 goals to match Justin Zackey’s 20-year-old school record. Last year Todd ranked 6th in the Patriot League with 34 goals, and his career high is 35 goals in 2012. That year he tied the school record with an 8-goal game, and he has ranked among the national leaders in shooting percentage in each of the last two seasons.
