Saunders, an excellent student, carries a 3.39 GPA in pursuit of a recreation and sport management degree.
Character
Saunders has become a vocal leader, both on and off the pitch. His leadership has helped Coastal Carolina with Sun Belt regular season and conference tournament titles, even having 20 new players.
He has led a young Coastal Carolina team with his encouragement, acting as another coach on the field with his experience.
Community
Saunders has been very active in the Conway community. He reads to the local elementary school students and has done work at the Hackler Golf Course on campus.
He also works with the student-athlete enrichment program.
Competition
Following the Fall 2020 season, Saunders was named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year, as well as All-Sun Belt.
He was also named to the 2020 All-Tournament team en route to earning the Sun Belt tournament’s Most Outstanding Player honors.
