Classroom
Thomas graduated from Baylor with a degree in health, kinesiology, and leisure studies. He is now working towards his master’s in sports management.
He is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, earning first team honors last season.
Character
Thomas has overcome Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and returned to full strength. He is now playing the best baseball of his career and is a team leader for the Bears. Thomas serves as a mentor to all of the underclassmen on the team.
Community
At Baylor, Thomas has logged multiple hours of service in each of his seasons. He recently participated in the Bears’ trip to Houston, where they volunteered with the NACC Disaster Relief.
Thomas has also helped with Baylor’s Community Clean Up Day, Veteran’s One Stop, and participated in events with the Boys & Girls Club.
Competition
Entering his fifth year with the Bears, Thomas has been a member of the starting rotation for his entire career. He currently holds a 9-8 record with a 3.50 ERA and 187 strikeouts.
Thomas has earned spots on the 2018 All-Big 12 Freshman Team and 2021 All-Big 12 second team.
