Vladimir Brodziansky earned Academic All-Big 12 honors for the 2016-17 season. He holds a cumulative GPA of 3.460 and is on track to graduate in May of 2018.

Character

Brodziansky is highly regarded on campus and in the community. He has a reputation for being well-liked, friendly and personable. According to athletic department staff, one example of Brodziansky’s personality occurred during the team’s trip to Florida for the Emerald Coast Classic when he allowed a group of kids to bury him in the sand during a trip to the beach.

Community

Brodziansky has olunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and a homeless shelter in Fort Worth.

Competition

One of five players named Preseason All-Big 12 Conference this season, Brodziansky led the NIT champion TCU Horned Frogs with 14.1 points per game last season as a junior. He averaged 2.1 blocks per game, which ranked third in the Big 12 and was All-Big 12 Second Team, Big 12 All-Defensive Team, All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the AP and named to the NABC All-District 8 Team. During the NIT, Brodziansky averaged 16.0 points and 6.2 rebounds and was named to the NIT All-Tournament Team. He scored a season-high 28 points against Kansas, and on the season, shot 56.4 percent from the field, the second best in the Big 12. Brodziansky was TCU’s first-ever Big 12 Player of the Week after averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Frogs.
