Buford is on track to graduate in March and will be the first member of his family to receive a college degree.
Character
Buford is a tremendous teammate and has always been willing to give up personal goals for the betterment of the team.
Community
Buford has been part of several community service programs over his career, including work with “A Kid Again,” an organization that provides experiences for children with life-threatening illness.
Competition
Buford is on track to become Ohio State’s all-time leading scorer. He needs 672 points to reach that goal. He as a 2010 Third Team All-Big Ten (Coaches/Media) member, the 2009 Big Ten Freshman of the Year (Coaches/Media), a 2009 Big Ten All-Freshman Team (Coaches) member, 2009 Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (Coaches) and 2009 Big Ten Player of the Week, 1/19/09. Was named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25.
