Zach Braxton graduated from Weber State University in April 2018 with a degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations and advertising. He is currently pursuing another bachelor’s degree in professional sales. During his time in school, he was a writer for the campus newspaper.

Character

Braxton has served as a team captain for the basketball team for the last two years and demonstrated many leadership skills. He is very supportive of all teams and athletes on campus and helps promote all events. He is a very humble leader, has an out-going personality and is friendly to all. He helped as an intern with the Weber State Athletic Communications Department and demonstrated qualities of a hard worker with a great outlook on life.

Community

Braxton has served on the Weber State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the last four seasons, serving as the vice president for the last two years. He has helped organize sexual assault awareness and prevention events on campus. He helped organize numerous community and school service projects and has assisted with the basketball team in several community service projects.

Competition

Braxton earned third-team Big Sky All-Conference honors as a junior last season. He is entering his senior season having started in 98 career games, with just one game missed, earning 577 career rebounds, good for 14th in Weber State history. Braxton started in all 30 games for the Wildcats as a junior and scored in double figures in 23 games. He had a career-high of 25 points in a win over Northern Colorado. Braxton was second in the Big Sky in rebounding as a junior at 7.8 per game. He also has had a career field goal percentage of 58.3 percent. Braxton has 945 career points in just three seasons and has 80 career blocks, which is the eighth-most in school history.
