Medley was on the Dean’s List twice and is a member of the All-CIAA Academic Honors list. She is the team captain and also its leader, motivator, mediator and confidant. She made the decision to transfer from Elon University after no longer feeling like that was the place for her. She had to not only learn a new school and system, but to get to know a whole new coaching staff and teammates. She participated in the Ashley Elementary campus clean up in 2010 and the Potter’s House Beautification Project. She has volunteered at the Family Services Child Development Center, the WSSU High School Jamboree and setting up the vendors area for Winston-Salem State University Homecoming 2011. Medley was selected to the CIAA All-Conference team for the 2010-11 season. She was chosen as a Preseason 2011-12 All-CIAA selection. She was the team’s leading scorer in 2010-11, averaging 13 points per game (364 points), and was also the leading perimeter defender, making a team high 51 steals on the season. She had a career high of 24 points versus Virginia State and scored 20+ points seven different times.
