Jalen Gaddy

Saint Augustine's
Business Administration

Jalen has a 3.22 grade point average, and is set to graduate in May 2020.

Jalen is a mild-mannered individual who is one of the leaders on the basketball team. He is one of three seniors.

SAU Head Coach MarQus Johnson: “Jalen is a respectable young man who is passionate about his academics and sport along with helping the future generation by donating his time and advice with the youth.  We are lucky to have him in our program.”

For the second consecutive year, Jalen Gaddy and his teammates assisted the Helping Hands Mission with its Thanksgiving Food Drive. He filled and delivered food boxes to families at the Helping Hand Mission.

In two seasons, Jalen has already established himself as one of the CIAA’s top three-point marksmen. As a junior last season, Jalen ranked fourth in the conference in three-point field goals made per game (2.48) and fifth in three-point field goals made (67). He capped a tremendous first season with the Falcons by earning All-CIAA Tournament honors after averaging 22.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two games, including a career-high 30 points on 8 of 10 three-point shooting in a first-round win over Lincoln (Pa.) University. He was second on the team in scoring (10.9).

Jalen is off to a fast start in the 2019-20 season, leading the Falcons in scoring (19.0 ppg) on 52.5 percent shooting, including 41.2 percent behind the three-point arc. He ranks sixth in the CIAA in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage and ninth in three-point field goals per game (2.3). He is a big reason why the Falcons lead the CIAA in points per game, field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage after three games.
