Army’s Andrew Maisano Selected as Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award Winner in Men’s Lacrosse

Get the Flash Player to see this player.Today at the NCAA Lacrosse Championships in Baltimore, the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award winner and All-Senior All-America Teams were announced.
Army’s Andrew Maisano, a 4.00 student who ranks 19th in his class academically and led his team to a Patriot League championship and a berth in the 2010 NCAA tournament, has been selected as the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award winner for men’s lacrosse.
Joining Maisano on the 2010 first team is Ken Clausen, Virginia; Pierce Derkac, Cornell; Ridge Flick, Air Force and Thomas Muldoon, Brown. The second team includes Gavin Buckley, St. Johns; Jason Duboe, Harvard; Max Quinzani, Duke; Scott Rodgers, Notre Dame and Kyle Wimer, UMBC.

There was a point this season, Black Knights midfielder and 2010 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award recipient Andrew Maisano remembers, when the Army men’s lacrosse team’s season ambitions were bleak. The team had just lost its fourth consecutive game, dropping a heartbreaking 8-7 overtime loss to rival Air Force.
Of those four early season losses, two were in overtime (Air Force, Cornell) and a third ended in a one-goal loss in regulation (Bryant).
